Rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, snow, snow, snow, rain, rain, bit icy, rain
So while I've been out and about as much as possible in the car it's only been the last couple of weeks that the weather's been alright.
late January we decided to go away for the weekend, orignally it was just going to be Gill and me, but the crazy gang came along too.
The crazy gang consists of Kathy, Morna, Katie and Claire(Who was in Australia for this one, yeah she lost out)
The destination was loch Monzievaird (pronounced:Mon-ee-vair) which has a bunch of log cabins next to a very pretty Loch and it's located near Crieff. The title of my post is about to make sense, so in normal circumstances I'd usually end up driving us all in one car, but screw that, I'm not just buying a Ferrari and not taking it. So Gill and I were going in style and the girls were going in steerage, slumming it in our old shed as Katie's car died the week before, Kathy thinks she can't afford a car, and Morna while saying she wants a new car can't make up her bloody mind what to get.
The space in the 430 is actually quite impressive, the log cabins are self catering so in our Ferrari we had 2 ruck sacks, several bags of food, cold weather waterproof jackets and 2 cases containing my radio control and batteries for a 2 foot long radio controlled helicopter which fits behind the seats in the cabin like the space was design specifically for it. So not bad for a supercar. Here's a pic to prove it :)
Off we went, taking in some good roads, from Glasgow to Drymen, upto Aberfoyle over the dukes pass then along the A85 to Loch Monzievaird.
What a great place it is, very pretty location and here was I Glasgow's answer to Hugh Hefner with 4 women in our mini Playboy cabin. Ok not quite but close
Here's a pic of the Horsey by the Loch, yeah I know it's dirty, couldn't help it with the amount of salt on the road.
We were also only a few miles from the famous Grouse distillery, so we popped in there for a wee tour and a dram, still can't really stomach Whisky but can now drink it without putting on an automatic troll face so we're getting there.
So all in all a good weekend :)
